bored boring 分別

be bored 可以譯為“不討人厭”嗎? bored boring 分別是什麽?
答：譯者將“be bored”譯成“討人厭”, 而將“be boring”譯成“討厭人”。但是在中文裡這兩個詞是一個意思, 都是指“惹( 令) 人討厭”。要知道, 動詞bore 雖可作“使討厭”解, 但這裡的be bored 不能譯為“被討厭”, 因為be bored, 如同be agreed, be interested, be delighted, be convinced, be tired 一樣, 並不是被動結構, 而是系表結構。be bored 的意思是“厭煩”( 參見convince) 。bore boring 分別的例子如下:
- I was never bored with his stories. 我從未對他的故事感到厭煩。
- I hope you are not getting bored listening to me. 我希望你聽我講話不會感到厭煩。
- I was bored to death before the first day was out. 第一天尚未過去我就厭煩死了。
