happen 用法1 (It happened that)
問:It happened that he harvest was bad in 1788.
見It seems that。
happen 用法 2 (happen to (do) / happen to sb.)
問:happen to do (to 為動詞不定詞符號) 與happen to sb.(to 為介係詞) 在語意上有區別嗎?
- She happened to find an empty seat at the back of the bus.
- Someone in the ticket office happened to notice her.
happen to sb.(to 為介係詞) 表示“(某人) 發生某事”:
- A bad accident happened to the family.
- I’m sure you’d be the first to be sorry if anything was to happen to him.
