答：正確答案應為B。require sth. of sb.是個常見句型。例如:

1. I will do all that is required of me. 我將去做要求我做的一切事情。
2. He was doing what was required of him…他總是在做要求他做的事情⋯ ⋯

答：require of 與require from 用法不同, 意義不同, 不能互換。
require of 是指“對⋯⋯要求⋯ ⋯”。

1. What do you require of me? 你要求我什麼呢?

當表示“從某人那裡需要得到某物時”, 需使用require…from:

我認為選項(have to pay) 是錯誤的, 應改為has to pay。

答：試題中的選項(have to pay) 並沒有錯誤。(to pay her) 有錯誤, 應改為to pay them。見demand that。

我不理解為什麼這裡非得選A(be heated) 不可。

答：如同require, request, demand, decide, order, decree, insist 等動詞要求其受詞子句使用現在式假設式(be 型假設語氣) 一樣, 它們的名詞的同位語子句或補語子句也要求使用現在式假設式。在英式英語中則大都使用should + 原形動詞:

1. His sole requirement was that the system work. 他的唯一要求是該系統要發揮作用。
2. We were faced with the demand that this tax be abolished. 我們面臨著取消這種稅收的要求。

具有這種文法特徵的名詞還有: decision, decree, demand, order, resolution, proposal, suggestion, request, conviction 等等。

1. Our decision is that the school remain closed. 我們的決定是學校繼續關閉。
2. The orders are that we stay there. 命令要求我們停留在這裡。
3. The resolution that women be allowed to join the society was carried. 容許婦女加入協會的決議獲得通過了。
